Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov met with President of the Group of Friendship with Azerbaijan Filippo Lombardi

On October 10, 2016 in the framework of his official visit to the Swiss Confederation Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with President of the Group of Friendship with Azerbaijan of the Swiss Federal Assembly Filippo Lombardi

Minister Elmar Mammadyarov underlined the important role of parliamentary friendship groups in fostering bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.

Filippo Lombardi recalled his visit to Azerbaijan in 2013, his attendance of the opening ceremony of the First European Games in Baku as well as his meeting with the delegation of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan in Bern in March 2016 and stressed that parliamentary friendship groups make their significant contribution to strengthening of bilateral relations.

Minister Elmar Mammadyarov informed about the recent developments in the process of settlement of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
