Ambassador Hanum Ibrahimova met with the Head of International Relations of the Swiss Federal Assembly Ambassador Claudio Fischer

On 22 November 2017, Ambassador Hanum Ibrahimova met with the Head of the International Relations and Multilingualism Division of the Swiss Federal Assembly Ambassador Claudio Fischer.

The interlocutors expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and discussed the possibility of organizing reciprocate visits by the presidents of the parliaments.

They further emphasized the activity of the friendship groups established in both parliaments and the cooperation between them both bilaterally and in the multilateral fora. Stressing successful visits made during last three years to Bern by the friendship group of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Ambassador Ibrahimova stated that it was high time to consider arranging a visit to Baku by the friendship group in the Swiss Parliament.

She also provided information on the candidacy of the city of Baku to host World Expo 2025, and called for the support by Switzerland to Baku’s bid.
