Ambassador Hanum Ibrahimova presented her credentials to Alois, Hereditary Prince of Lichtenstein

Ambassador Hanum Ibrahimova presented her credentials to Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein. Ambassador conveyed greetings of HE Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Hereditary Prince. His Serene Highness Prince Alois thanked for the greetings and asked Ambassador to convey his best wishes to President Aliyev.

Ambassador Ibrahimova briefed His Serene Highness about large energy and transport projects implemented with Azerbaijan’s participation. Ambassador noted that being the leader of South Caucasus in terms of economy, Azerbaijan also acts as an example to world countries when it comes to tolerant society, political stability and security. Highlighting Azerbaijan as a country of multiculturalism, Ambassador informed His Serene Highness about the Baku Process and international events hosted by Azerbaijan. The sides exchanged views on the current state of Azerbaijani-Lichtenstein relations and prospects for their development both on bilateral and multilateral formats.

Ambassador Ibrahimova has also met with Ms. Aurelia Frick, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Education and Culture of Lichtenstein. Highlighting the importance of high-level visits in the development of bilateral relations, Ms.Frick mentioned the visit of Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan to Lichtenstein in October 2016, with appreciation. Ambassador Ibrahimova briefed her interlocutor about economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan and drew the attention to the existence of a favourable business environment in Azerbaijan. Ambassador had also praised the successful activities of the Hilti Corporation in Azerbaijan and invited other companies from Lichtenstein to invest into Azerbaijan’s economy, especially to the non-oil sector. Touching upon Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, Ambassador highlighted the importance of solving this conflict based on the norms and principles of international law. The sides have also discussed the prospects of cooperation in the area of the vocational education.
