Ambassador Hanum Ibrahimova met with the Head of Presence Switzerland Ambassador Nicolas Bideau

On 8 November 2017, Ambassador Khanim Ibrahimova met with the Head of Presence Switzerland Ambassador Nicolas Bideau.

Kh.Ibrahimova informed her interlocutor extensively about the bid of Baku to host World Expo 2025 and of the advantages of the theme proposed by Azerbaijan.

In his turn, N.Bideau talked about the Swiss procedure of examination of candidacies for hosting various Expos, making comments on the candidacy of Baku, the proposed theme, engagement of the private sector, attracting international visitors, sustainability of the exhibition site etc.

Kh.Ibrahimova elaborated on the points raised by N.Bideau, stressing that the Azerbaijani side works hard to take due account of all elements. She assured that Baku would host an impeccable Expo, if it were voted for.

The counterparts agreed to continue the dialogue on this issue.
